The Do’s & Don’ts for a Flawless Look
The Do’s:
* Prep Your Skin: Cleanse and moisturize your face before the artist arrives. A light exfoliation the night before helps the makeup sit perfectly.
* Hair Preparation: For best results, wash and completely dry your hair. “Day-old” hair often holds styles and pins better than freshly washed, slippery hair.
* The “Outfit Check”: Have your jewelry, pins, and outfit (blouse/petticoat) ready. Put on your footwear before we start the draping for the perfect length.
The Don’ts:
* No Last-Minute Facials: Avoid getting a facial or waxing your face within 48 hours of your makeup appointment to prevent sensitivity or “sliding.”
* Don’t Wet Your Hair: Unless you’ve booked a blow-dry, ensure your hair is 100% dry; styling damp hair can cause frizz and won’t hold curls.
* Avoid Heavy Oils: Don’t apply heavy hair oils or greasy face creams on the day of the event, as they can interfere with product longevity.
Important Precautions
* Lighting & Space: Please provide a well-lit area with a mirror and a nearby power outlet for our styling tools.
* Allergies: If you have sensitive skin or specific product allergies, please inform our artist before we begin the application.
