Post-Treatment: The Do’s & Don’ts
The first 72 hours are vital for a long-lasting, pin-straight finish:
The Do’s:
* Keep it Loose: Let your hair hang naturally.
* Stay Dry: Protect your hair from rain, steam, and sweat for the first 3 days.
* Sulfate-Free Only: Use specialized sulfate-free shampoo to keep the smoothing layer intact.
The Don’ts:
* No Tying Back: Avoid hair ties, clips, or tucking hair behind your ears to prevent permanent dents.
* No Early Washing: Wait the full 72 hours before your first shampoo.
* Avoid Saltwater: Stay away from swimming pools or the ocean for at least a week.
Important Precautions
* Hair Health: This treatment is best for healthy to moderately damaged hair; for extremely brittle hair, we recommend our Hair Botox instead.
* Coloring: Ideally, color your hair after the treatment (wait 2 weeks) as smoothing can sometimes slightly lift your current shade.
* Ventilation: Please ensure the room used for the service has good airflow or a window that can be opened.
